Adopt Me: If it fits, Fred sits

He would prefer a home with no other animals, but might get along with another VERY chill cat

HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Here is what Fred's foster parent has to say about him:

"This handsome man is my foster kitty, Fred. He's a sweet senior boy who has been living with us since mid-March. He's a quiet, independent kitty looking for a home with another VERY CHILL cat or no other animals.

I considered keeping this gem for myself, but he hates (HATES!) our dogs. Fred would do best in a home with teenagers or adults only, as he's a love biter/ nibbler and doesn't love being picked up.

He does LOVE being with his person/people, and will often follow me around before taking off to do zoomies around the house, ending with a snooze in his favourite box (if it fits, he sits!).

He's an excellent nighttime companion, and must have some kind of contact with his person at night, even just his paw on your foot. He's had a dental cleaning, is not on any special food, and other than an earlier ear infection is a nice, healthy boy.

Fred was in rough shape when he first came to the shelter and should be an indoor-only cat. He is available for adoption through the Nova Scotia SPCA - Dartmouth Shelter's new appointment-based adoption process. Give them a call to set up a time to meet this scrumptious little muffin."

If you are interested in adopting please contact us to arrange an appointment to meet our cats (this is a new process due to the COVID-19).

Fred is available for adoption at the Dartmouth SPCA., 902-468-7877.
