HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.


Freda is a special little lady. She was transfered to the Dartmouth SPCA from one of our other shelters. Since being in our care, she has required some medical attention, as you can see from her patchy fur. She is now feeling much better and is ready for adoption!

Freda is an independent lady. She is happiest lounging in a sun beam or exploring new environments. She doesn't rely on her humans for constant attention but loves that we are here to provide snacks!

She would be best in a home with no other animals and no small children.
