Adopt Me: Buster is looking for a quiet home

Never judge a book by its cover

HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

In Buster's case his previous story was not one filled with the care and compassion he deserved. He is ready to rewrite history though! He has found himself in the care of the Dartmouth SPCA seeking his forever home. With his new family, we know he will be loved and cared for like he deserves.

In his first few days at the shelter, the staff were worried that Buster's spirit was broken. He rarely interacted with staff and seemed so sad.

Over time he began trusting more and more in the staff and volunteers. We began giving him time in the office, to see if he was just missing the feeling of a home.

As soon as he stepped foot in there he was a new dog! He was bouncy and alert. We knew he was ready to start meeting people and go up for adoption. This guy is raring to go and wanting to meet you today.

Buster will need a home with children no younger than 16. A home that's easy for him to get around in would be best as his sight is not 100 per cent. A nice quiet home that he can settle into would be perfect.

Buster is being adopted through our Palliative Care program, if you have any questions about the program or Buster, please ask staff about him today.

Buster is available for adoption from the Dartmouth SPCA. Please contact us at 468-7877 Option 6 for more information or click here.

Unable to adopt? Share this feature on social media so each animal can get the exposure it needs and find a loving home.
